Natural in-home Photo + Film Lifestyle Sessions for Babies + Newborns in scotland
A Photo + Film Session all about you and your family in that brand new baby bubble. Being a new parent is a CRAZY RIDE. But capturing them just as they are in these first moments is super important.
As much as we would love to, there is just no freezing time, so recording the details of their tiny wee tootsies, those soft eyelashes and those cute yawns and stretches is the next best thing. These sessions are taken in a calm, relaxed way and always baby-led.
There is no over posing just natural photos of you and baby in your arms as much as possible where they belong and in your home surroundings. These sessions take place on Sundays, or week days and up until baby is around 12 months old.
WHY AN @ HOME SESSION?
Rather than the upheaval of travelling to a studio, many do prefer an at-home session for their new little addition just out of a desire to be in comfortable surroundings. With my style being relaxed and authentic, what is more authentic than capturing baby exactly how they are in this time? Those natural moments of connection and emotion between you provide a true representation of the magic in that relationship with your little person.
WHAT IF BABY IS EARLY/ LATE?
That's ok. Baby's come in their own sweet time. Getting in touch around your 20 week scan lets me book in a window for your newborn session. This can be easily adjusted once Baby arrives. I limit the number of Newborn Sessions I take on to allow for Baby to arrive whenever they are ready.
WHAT IF BABY WONT SETTLE?
That's ok. At Home Sessions are much more flexible than a traditional studio set up. The main thing to remember is not to get yourself stressed out if baby is fussy - as they can sense your stress and become more unsettled. My relaxed and laid back approach allows time for baby to calm again. I had two under a year old - that definitely taught me patience.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
I have a whole page on this in the Session Guide you receive upon booking. But in short, soft, comfortable, natural and neutral colours work best for baby.
